Ducati has announced the second edition of its popular DRE Off-Road Days. The first edition was held last year and had received a good response from participants. Although just a day’s exercise, the event is a great way to learn the basics of taking a motorcycle off the road. Riding on looser surface is completely different from riding on tarmac as traction is hard to come by. Ducati’s DRE Off-Road Days features experienced trainers and a variety of surface simulations to help enhance a participant’s off-roading skills. For owners of Ducati bikes like the Multistrada, the Scrambler and the Hypermotard, this events presents a great opportunity to explore the full potential of their motorcycles. For Ducati, the DRE events are a great way to build a valuable relationship with their customers and also showcase the prowess of their bikes. And talking of offroad prowess, we'll be riding the updated Ducati Multistrada 950 later this month and can't wait to see what's in store!

However, Ducati has said the event is open to non-Ducati owners as well. While Ducati owners will need to pay Rs 9,800 for the event, non-Ducati owners will need to cough up Rs 19,900. Although the latter might sound steep, note that Ducati will be providing a motorcycle from their stables as part of the package. The charges include the DRE trainer’s fee, breakfast, lunch and evening refreshments, medical support and DRE certification. While the previous event was conducted under the watchful eyes of Vijay Parmar, who is a Ducati Certified Trainer and the founder of Raid De Himalaya, this edition will be manned by Anand Dharmaraj, who is a DRE-certified instructor as well. The second edition of DRE Off-Road Days will be held on February 16 and 17 at Bannerghatta, Bengaluru.
