The Diavel 1260 has received several noteworthy updates over the previous model. For one, the displacement of the engine has been increased by 1198.4cc to 1262cc. Yes, it’s the same powerplant as seen on the new Multistrada 1260. This motor now belts out 159PS and 128.8Nm, which is an increment 0f 6.8PS and 5.8Nm over the previous motor. Now, on paper, this increase in power might look nominal, but even this makes a lot of difference as we found out when we got our hands on the new Diavel 1260

In terms of electronic aids, this Italian exotica gets three rider modes, eight-level traction control, cornering ABS, three launch control setting and wheelie control! Other features include an all-LED lighting system, a new TFT screen and optional multimedia system compatible with Ducati Link App.

The Ducati Diavel 1260 has no natural rivals in India. And yes, for much less than Rs 16 lakh, you can have a Ninja 1000, Triumph Street Triple RS and among others, but can these motorcycles offer the same kind of road presence as the Diavel 1260? We certainly think not.
