To pay homage to the original Monster 900, Ducati revealed the Monster 821 and brought it to India roughly a year back. Over the course of the tenth months that have surpassed since its India launch, Ducati has managed to sell over 100 units of the Monster series in the country. To lure new Ducatistis to the brand and to the very motorcycle itself, the Italian manufacturer is now giving away a free Termignoni exhaust upon purchase of a Monster 821 or its smaller sibling, the Monster 797.
Ducati has a long standing partnership with Termignoni as the two Italian brands have partnered up on several occasions. The two have taken part in several racing events too, most notably the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. The slip-on exhaust costs Rs 1.21 lakh as an accessory for the Monster 797. Apart from the free Termignoni end-can, the Monster 821 also gets Ducati’s bi-directional quickshifter worth Rs 24,342 free of charge. Thus, the added benefits tally up to Rs 1.67 lakh for the 821. This makes the price point of the Monster 821, which is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh, a little more worth your money. The 797 is proced at Rs 8.60 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom India).
Here’s the company’s official statement:
