The Ducati MG-20 foldable e-bike flaunts magnesium wheels as well as frame

Ducati’s Urban Mobility division has introduced the first Ducati-branded foldable e-bike, the MG-20, developed by MT Distribution. It will go on sale in July. Unlike the run-of-the-mill e-bikes, the Ducati MG-20 is rather special and a true Ducati in every sense.

Just like the Ducati Panigale V4, the frame is constructed using magnesium to keep the weight in check without compromising on quality. Even the fork and the 20-inch rims are made of the same lightweight material.

The Ducati MG-20 has been equipped with an IP54-rated 250W motor that is capable of producing 10.8Nm and propelling the e-bike to a top speed of 25kmph. This motor is paired with a Samsung-sourced 36V, 10.5Ah 378Wh battery that offers a claimed range of up to 50km.

Ducati has armed the MG-20 with an LED headlight and an LCD to toggle between the three levels of assistance (12-18-25kmph). Further, to make riding easier, the e-bike comes with a six-speed Shimano gearbox. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends.

The Ducati MG-20 will be available in select foreign markets. It’s priced at EUR 1,599, which translates to Rs 1.41 lakh. While we are unlikely to get this Ducati, we have the Qubit X1 and X2 as well as the EMotorad Karbon, all of which are way more affordable.
