Flagship Ducati Scrambler Has A Launch Date

Good news Ducatistas! The Italian brand has confirmed that the new BS6 Scrambler 1100 will be launched in our country on September 22. The Scrambler 1100 will be the second BS6 offering from Ducati for the Indian market and it’s also its flagship Scrambler offering. Ducati already offers the new Panigale V2 in India, which was also its first BS6 offering. While the Italian brand hasn’t shared any details we expect both the Scrambler 1100 Pro and the Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro to be launched together. We expect the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro to be priced around 12 lakh and Rs 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

On the cosmetic front, the Scrambler 1100 receives new colour shades, redesigned graphics, a more petite tail section and twin exhaust mufflers. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sports Pro features a  flatter handlebar with bar-end mirrors and a premium Ohlins suspension setup. Powering the flagship Ducati Scramblers is a BS6-compliant air-cooled L-twin engine that generates 86PS at 7500rpm and 88.4Nm of torque at 4750rpm. In comparison to the BS4 model, power is down by 1.1PS, while the 6-speed transmission remains unchanged. Electronic aids consist of three riding modes (Active, Journey and City), multi-level traction control system, and cornering ABS.

Post the launch of the new Scrambler 1100s, Ducati is expected to launch the Multistrada 950 in the Indian market. Speaking of future models, the next-generation Ducati Monster 821 has been spotted testing, while the Ducati Multistrada V4 looks almost production-ready. Both bikes are expected to make their global debut by late 2020.
