Ducati has announced that the Ducati World Theme Park will soon open its doors to the public in Italy by 2019. It will be spread across 90,649 square kilometres at the famous Mirabilandia amusement park, which is located on the north east coast of Italy.
As the name suggests, the park will obviously feature a Ducati theme all over. Before you ask, yes, the restaurants in the park will also feature a Ducati theme.
Alessandro Cicognani, Ducati Licensing and Corporate Partnership Director, said: "Ducati World will give visitors a chance to live an exciting journey inside the Ducati brand. Thanks to this agreement, together with (park operator) Parques Reunidos we’re developing the first motorcycle themed area in an Italian amusement park. Mirabilandia location, at the heart of the Motor Valley, adds further value to this project dedicated to fun."
The theme park will also include a motorcycle museum which will showcase some of the most iconic Ducati motorcycles throughout history. Some of the highlighted attractions include a roller coaster ride that imitates riding a Ducati, many riding simulations, virtual reality and other attractions for kids.
The park is sure to attract both theme park goers and motorcycle enthusiasts alike. However, we could only wish that Ducati brings this theme park to our shores. Seems unlikely, but what’s the harm in dreaming big!
