MG’s latest move gives customers a huge advantage as they now have a year from purchase of a vehicle to enrol for the MG Shield Protect plan.
The plan is categorised into three versions: Classic, Premium, and Elite. Earlier, the deadline was only thirty days. Now, it is either a year or usage of 10,000km (petrol)/15,000km (diesel), whichever comes first.
Gaurav Gupta, chief commercial officer, MG Motor India, said, “The flexibility of offering our customers the MG Shield Protect Plan on the occasion of our second anniversary in India is a testimony of our commitment to customer delight throughout their car ownership journey. We believe in building relationships with our customers for a lifetime. The enhanced flexibility in the protection plan is one of the ways in which we could give back to our customers.”
Another change to the plan includes an extension for MG owners. They can now extend their three-year plan to a five-year plan at a nominal amount.
The MG Shield Protect plan, depending on which version you choose, includes coverage on labour charges, wear and tear, parts, battery, and tyres.
