Exclusive: Renault Duster Adventure edition kits on offer

Renault’s Adventure edition is a hugely popular variant. The already macho styling gets extra beefy plastic cladding on the outside and quite a few features on the inside as well. All this costs you about Rs 1.1 lakh more over a same spec variant in the 110PS Duster. But what if you wanted just the front plastic bull-bar, or side cladding or just beefier wheel arches? Renault has realised that this could be an opportunity worth exploring and so a few of the Adventure Edition’s features can be made to order as individual accessories.

Instead of spending about Rs 1.1 lakh on the Adventure Edition in the 110PS Duster where you don’t have a choice of variants as it is available only in the RXL variant, you can choose any variant and add the exterior cladding package worth Rs 62,390. If you aren’t looking for the whole package, you can individually pick the front bull-bar with the integrated fog lamps for Rs 18,410, the side body cladding for Rs 19,320 and the wheel arch cladding for 24,660. All features like the interior upholstery and floor mats used in the Adventure Edition aren’t available as part of the accessories though. You also get a freedom to choose the variant you want depending on the pack of features of your preference.

The Duster has a waiting period of three weeks which can vary depending on the colour and variant. In all, it is available in 12 variants now including the 85 PS and 110PS Adventure Edition variants and the One lakh Dusters celebration edition. Renault is being quite innovative with its special edition models as the carmaker has seen plenty of success with them. Recently Renault also re-introduced a travelogue edition Scala to boost sales.  

The Duster is priced between Rs 7.78 lakh and Rs 11.79 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Despite having unfavourable excise slabs being an SUV, the Duster’s popularity has maintained since its launch. By October, the 4x4 Duster will further bolster this Duster line-up by tugging the heartstrings of the off-road enthusiast.
