As we already know, Royal Enfield is on the verge of updating the Himayalan for 2021. The bike’s already been spotted testing the new navigation feature and is expected to come with a bunch of new colour schemes. However, sources suggest the ADV is still some time away from its launch. Royal Enfield has now temporarily suspended deliveries for the BS6 Himalayan to make way for the updated bike. It’s expected to be launched between February and March 2021. The updates could set you back by an additional Rs 2,000-Rs 3,000 over the current model which retails at Rs. 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
We’ve already covered all the changes in previous articles, but just in case you missed out, here’s a quick recap. The 2021 Himalayan will come with the same Tripper system seen on the Meteor 350. It offers turn-by-turn navigation using the company’s dedicated app. It will come in a variety of colours with customisation options.
Lastly, the brand has made minor design revisions to the metal mount that holds the headlight assembly in place. It’s been moved slightly forward so as to not foul with the knees of taller riders -- an issue some people faced with the current-gen model.
Royal Enfield has huge plans for 2021. It intends to launch a new model every quarter here in India. The lineup comprises brand new bikes based on the company's J-platform -- the 2021 Classic 350, Hunter 350, updated 650cc twins, and a 650cc cruiser. Full list of launches available here.
