Not quite satisfied with killing it on the sales charts, Royal Enfield has created an entire ecosystem around its customers, selling them not only bikes, but also well-designed apparel, riding gear and accessories. Last year, the brand introduced the ‘Make-It-Yours’ configurator that allows you to customise your bike before making a booking, and this service was recently extended to RE’s t-shirts and helmets as well. Via the Make-It-Yours initiative, buyers can tinker with the appearance of their t-shirts and helmets, choosing from a range of colour options and graphics schemes to tailor their own personal look.

Now, thanks to an interaction with Puneet Sood, Head of Royal Enfield's Apparel Business, we know that the next step along the way is to allow buyers to customise their riding gear, starting with the excellent range of riding jackets that Royal Enfield offers. Protecting you is only half the job, a riding jacket also needs to make you look badass, so buyers will be able to tinker with the style and colour schemes before making a purchase. By the end of it, hopefully you too will be grinning like Jehan in the picture above. With time, the customisation programme will also be extended to RE’s other protective gear like riding pants and gloves.
