We’re quite excited about the Triumph Trident 660, and one of the biggest reasons behind that is the attractive Rs 7 lakh expected price tag. If you’re as excited as we are, we’ve got even more good news. You don’t have to wait till next year to begin the process of buying a Trident. Triumph dealers have already begun accepting bookings for the bike officially, for a refundable amount of Rs 50,000. In addition, Triumph has also announced a special finance scheme, under which customers can bring home this new roadster at an EMI of just Rs 9,999. That said, this limited-period offer is likely to come with the caveat of longer tenure, presumably with a higher interest rate. We'd recommend you contact the nearest Triumph dealer for the finer print.
An official launch is expected early next year, perhaps around March. The Trident is powered by a 660cc inline-triple motor derived from the Street Triple S, producing 81PS and 64Nm. Having already been launched in the UK, it’s priced at GBP 7,200 (approx Rs 7 lakh), so a Rs 7 lakh price tag in India isn’t unreasonable. It will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CBR650R.
