Select dealerships have begun accepting bookings for Rs 11,000.
Design changes likely to be limited to tweaked bumpers, new alloy wheels, and possibly the addition of LED headlights.
Cabin could receive new upholstery, among other changes.
Likely to retain its 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with 5-speed manual and CVT transmission options.
Expect a slight premium over the current model that retails from Rs 6.22 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Just five days since we disclosed that the Honda Amaze is set for a mid-life refresh in August, select dealerships have begun accepting bookings for the updated sedan at a token amount of Rs 11,000. It will be the first proper update to the second-gen Amaze since its launch in May 2018.
Details on the changes are scarce, but for its exterior styling, we expect the addition of LED headlamps or projector headlamps, revised front and rear bumpers, as well as a new alloy wheel design. The updated Amaze may also get a new fabric upholstery and additional kit in the cabin.
Features likely to be retained include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice commands, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control, cruise control, and keyless entry with push-button start/stop. Passenger safety may remain as is with dual front airbags. ISOFIX anchorage, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, rear windshield defogger, and high speed alert.

The updated sedan will likely see no mechanical changes. So it should continue to be offered with a 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former makes 90PS and 110Nm, whereas the latter delivers 100PS and 200Nm (80PS/160Nm in diesel-CVT). Transmission options for both engines include a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.
Considering select dealers have started accepting bookings for the facelifted Honda Amaze, the compact sedan should go on sale around mid-August. Expect a premium over the current model that retails from Rs 6.22 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rekindle its rivalry with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire, and Tata Tigor.
