Following in the footsteps of several other carmakers in India, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has announced an easy-to-use website for booking Jeep vehicles. Staying true to social distancing norms and safety guidelines, the purchased Jeep vehicle will be delivered at your doorstep once the lockdown is lifted. You can also schedule test drives on the website post the lockdown.
As of now, only the Compass is available on the website in all variants and colours. The vehicle can be booked in three easy steps. First, customers are required to submit their details such as contact number and location. On receiving and entering the OTP, they can proceed to select the transmission, variant, and choice of colour. They will then be directed to a payment page for the booking amount.
The dealership representative will then coordinate with the customer and schedule a test drive in a completely sanitised vehicle. The vehicle can then be purchased through the unique ID received by the customer with the final payment. Customers can choose most of their preferences online after which the vehicle will be delivered at their doorstep.
A complete digital demonstration of the vehicle is available on the website eliminating the need to visit the dealership. Numerous guidelines will be followed to maintain the safety of the staff in the dealership and the entire process will be a ‘touch-free’ retail experience.
FCA India had temporarily suspended operations on March 22 due to the looming coronavirus pandemic. It is now ready to resume operations based on the government's directives regarding the COVID-19 threat assessment.
