Firefox bikes has put together a team of nine young skilled experts from across India for its first road cycling team called Team Trek Firefox. All the 8 cyclists have participated at national levels and have been selected from over 200 applications through a rigorous selection process. The team will be mentored by Srinath Rajam, Level 3 ABCC (Association of British Cycling Coaches) and backed by world class coaching company, Peaks Coaching Group.
Srinath Rajam, Team Director and Coach covered all aspects about the intentions of setting up the team and providing class-leading training by saying, “We aim to provide India's best young cyclists a platform to further progress their national and international careers by giving them cutting edge cycling training and racing experiences backed by world-class coaches. It would be an appropriate platform for the young enthusiasts to excel themselves, as team will provide right environment, equipments, training sessions and complete holistic approach for becoming best cyclists. We intend to compete across India once a month in road races, time trials and in the future also in Cyclocross, track and cycle speedway.”

Speaking at the event, Shiv Inder Singh, Managing Director, Firefox Bikes said, “It’s our attempt to work with India’s best young cyclists and majority of them aged between 17 to 21 years. The key feature of Team Trek Firefox is the use of sophisticated electronic measuring devices to monitor & constantly improve the power, strength & output of the cyclist. Team Trek Firefox is seeking to redefine coaching/training methods in India from mindless endurance training to developing the peak power output of the athlete.”
