Bentayga Becomes The First Diesel-Powered Bentley

The Bentayga will be the most luxurious SUV in the world as claimed by Bentley. The first ever production-spec Bentayga rolled off the production facility in Crewe, marking it a very important landmark in Bentley’s history. The Bentagya was born over the course of four years, which has also generated more than 1,500 job openings in the process of getting the SUV to a production-spec vehicle. The luxurious SUV will be made available to its rightful owners from January onwards. At the same time, Bentley will also have the ‘First Edition’ units of the Bentagya which will be limited to only 608 units, out of which one of the cars will make its place in the Buckingham Palace.
Talking about the Bentayga, the ultra-luxurious SUV will be joining the Bentley’s Heritage collection. The first production-spec model has anthracite paint and has been handcrafted to perfection for over 130 hours. The Bentley Bentagya will be available in two variants- standard and the limited-run model. Both the variants will receive a newly designed W12 6.0-litre twin-turbo engine producing a whooping 608PS of power and 900Nm of torque. There will also be a diesel variant which will be powered by a 4.0-litre V8 TDI engine with an e-turbo. The future models will also feature a plug-in hybrid version which has been confirmed for 2017.
