Come 2017, manufacturers are gearing up to launch more of their offerings in the same price bracket. 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift

2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift (expected price – Rs 5 to 8 lakh)

Maruti Suzuki Swift, the compact hot hatch which was launched back in 2005, continues to play a very vital role in the industry dominance of the Indo-Japenese automaker. And now the company has updated the 2017 model. Aesthetically, the 2017 Swift looks sportier than the outgoing model, featuring a big hexagonal grille with larger air intakes at the front, the headlights are sleeker and come with projectors and LED DRLs. The door handles are mounted on the c-pillar. When it comes to features, the car comes with Smartplay infotainment system and automatic climate control among others. On the feature front, there will be an infotainment system with SmartPlay, Google Android Auto support along with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. A 1.3-litre DDiS190 (Fiat’s Multijet) engine might make its way under the hood, producing  75PS of power and 190Nm of torque. Transmission options will be in the form of a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.
