Force Motors has finally launched the 4x4 variant of the Force One at Rs 13.98 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. After updating the car last year, the company also showcased the 4x4 variant but it didn’t go on sale till now. Finally bookings have commenced of the 4x4 version according to the company website. The One will only be sold in the top-of-the-line LX trim.

The Force One 4x4 gets an electronic shift-on-the-fly system that lets you switch between front wheel drive and four wheel drive High on the move. For low range you need to come to a halt. Powering the Force One LX is the same 2.2-litre common rail diesel engine developing 141PS of power at 3,800rpm and 321Nm of torque between 1,600-2,400rpm.

Since the 4x4 comes only in top trim, you get all the features on the mid-spec SX variant like the projector headlamps, integrated side indicators in the ORVMs, entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and ABS with EBD. The only additional feature it gets is leather seats. The LX also gets slightly wider tyres – 245/70 R16s (other trims get 235 section tyres).

The Force One is a seven seater with ample space on the inside. Unlike the EX variant, the LX will not be offered as a six seater though.

The Force One's practicality, space and imposing looks found it quite a few takers. The 4x4 version adds another dimension to this SUV.
