Ford Classic price revised, now for Rs 4.88 lakh

The Ford Fiesta has always been one of the best driver’s cars in its segment. The Ford Classic, essentially the final version of the first generation Ford Fiesta was relaunched earlier this year at a base price of Rs 4.99 lakh. Now though, Ford have upped the ante and lowered the price even more to a new base price of Rs 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Ford Classic comes with the same, well-balanced styling that we have grown so fond of over the last few years. The Classic has now also been updated with smaller details like indicators in the outside rear view mirrors, while alloy wheels and fog lamps come as standard equipment in the higher end models. The Ford Classic is also available with an optional spoiler, sporty pedals and a programmable keyless entry setup that allows the driver to open only his door instead of all four. The Ford Classic also gets features like airbags and ABS with EBD in the Titanium variants.

The Ford Classic comes with two engine options, a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine and a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine, long known to be one of the most responsive and rewarding engines in the segment produces 101PS of peak power and 146Nm of peak torque. The workhorse diesel on the other hand produces 68PS of peak power and 160Nm of torque, almost identical to its biggest rival, the Toyota Etios. The Ford Classic is available from Rs 4.88-7.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
