The compact-SUV craving Indian buyers can’t get enough of new models in the segment like the Ford EcoSport. The SUV received such an overwhelming response since its launch that Ford India couldn’t keep up with the demand and the Ford EcoSport had months of waiting period. So much so, that Ford India had to temporarily stop accepting bookings for the popular Ford EcoSport.
The company has announced that it has delivered about 50,000 Ford EcoSports which has helped reduce the waiting period. Moreover the company has re-opened bookings for the SUV, so that Indian buyers do not deviate to other compact SUVs such as the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
Ford EcoSport is available in India with three engine options, the 1.0L EcoBoost petrol, 1.5L TiVCT petrol and 1.5L TDCi Diesel, priced between Rs 6.15 lakh to Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
