It joins the Titanium+ in the EcoSport’s petrol automatic lineup.
Petrol EcoSport packs a 122PS/149Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
Petrol automatic’s claimed fuel efficiency figure is 14.7 kmpl.
The EcoSport rivals the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon.
Back in January 2020, Ford had introduced BS6-compliant variants of the EcoSport sub-4m SUV with additional standard equipment and a standard 3-year/1 lakh km warranty. Now, the carmaker has launched the Titanium (AT) variant for Rs 10.66 lakh (ex-showroom). It joins the Titanium+ (AT) in the EcoSport’s petrol automatic lineup. The Titanium automatic petrol variant undercuts the Titanium+ automatic variant by Rs 90,000. As is the case with the Titanium+ (AT), the new Titanum (AT) is exclusive to the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine that makes 122PS of power and 149Nm of torque featuring a 6-speed torque converter unit. The claimed mileage figure is 14.7 kmpl. The 1.5-litre engine can also be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Titanium variant is a relatively minor upgrade over the Trend variant. It gets additional kit like front fog lamps, one-touch driver-side button for front and rear power windows, power-fold outside mirrors, smart entry with push stop/start button, satin aluminium roof rails and LED DRLs. It also gets emergency brake assist, ESC, traction control and hill assist. The automatic option adds paddle shifters and cruise control. Since it is the middle variant, it misses out on features like front map lamps, illuminated glove box, ambient lighting, electric sunroof, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and side and curtain airbags.
The Ford EcoSport continues to take on the likes of the, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon.
