When Ford India launched the BS6 version of the EcoSport, the sub-4 metre SUV had received a price hike of Rs 13,000 over its BS4 counterpart. The carmaker has now silently given the EcoSport SUV another price hike. This time it’s just Rs 1,500 and affects both the petrol and diesel variants. Only the Titanium manual diesel variant remains unaffected. Here are the revised prices of the Ford EcoSport:

The petrol variants of the EcoSport are now priced from Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 11.58 lakh. The diesel variants, on the other hand, are priced from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 11.73 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The Ford EcoSport is powered by 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The former makes 122PS and 149Nm, whereas the latter pushes out 100PS and 215Nm. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, with the petrol variants also getting the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Ford has some plans for the EcoSport in Europe as a new Active variant is set to be introduced in November. Back home, it competes with the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and the upcoming Nissan Magnite.
