The Ford Freestyle, a capable cross-hatch, hasn't managed to set the sales chart on fire. In a bid to make it more attractive, Ford has launched the Freestyle Flair, a trendy top-of-the-line variant that sits above the range-topping Titanium +. Updates are largely cosmetic with no change under the hood. Here are the detailed variant-wise prices:

The Freestyle costs Rs 30,000 more than the Titanium + variant. Here’s what it offers for the extra premium.
The Freestyle Flair features contrasting red elements on the front skid plate, roof rails and the ORVMs while the alloy wheels and roof are finished in glossy black. Also unique to the Flair edition is the presence of funky body decals with Flair badging on the side and bootlid. You can pick up the Freestyle Flair in three exterior colours: White Gold, Diamond White and Smoke Grey.

Step inside and you’ll notice that the smattering of red continues on the door pads as well. The dashboard utilises an all-black theme which is much better than the standard variant’s dual-tone brown-black colour. Topping the list is the new seat cover with embossed Flair badging.
That said, the silent deletion of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is a big downgrade. To compensate for that though, it comes with Ford Pass connected car tech. The carmaker has also tied up with the JioSaavn music streaming app to offer a one-year subscription to JioSaavn Pro for bookings made before February 2021.

It features climate control, automatic headlamps, a multi-info display, steering-mounted audio controls and push button start. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors and traction control.
The Freestyle Flair can be had with either the 96PS 1.2-litre petrol engine or the 100PS 1.5-litre diesel motor. Both units are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission only.

The Freestyle hopes to draw in more customers to the showroom with this cosmetic update. It locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
