The first such centre in India was inaugurated in 2016 in Manesar, Gurugram, and another was launched in November last year in Sanand, Gujarat. In total, all the centres can train 2500 technicians across all their facilities every year.

This all ties up with Ford’s efforts to better its after-sales support and includes a service price promise and sub-assembly levels for repairs. Ford has also been reducing localisation of parts in its cars and is now promising a 7-10 per cent reduction in service costs for some of its models.
