Fortuner Revs up Toyota's Fortunes!

A fact we've known all along and though Toyota Kirloskar took their sweet time to bring the Fortuner to India, the effects that we imagined have actually taken place! In a tremendous response to the latest SUV in the brat pack, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has received a whopping 5000 bookings in just over a month for the Fortuner!

No doubt, this exceeds all expectations that the company had laid down for this particular model and now with this great response, TKM is making rapid efforts in order to boost monthly production figures from 500 units to 600 units in order to cope with this solid influx of customer demand.

The stellar response to the Fortuner has also lead to a change in targets for the year 2009 as TKM now intends on selling 2500 units as against 2000 units which was announced at the time of the launch.

With the effects of the recession now fading away, the auto industry is showing welcome signs of recovery. Toyota Kirloskar Motors has had a tremendous month in August this year as the company has posted a 35 per cent growth in overall sales. Of course this also includes the response to the Fortuner.
