During the 2014 India Bike Week, Anoop Prakash, Managing Director Harley-Davidson India had mentioned to ZigWheels that they are working on a new mobile app for owners of the iconic American brand in our country. True to his word, Harley-Davidson has launched the H-D India smart phone application for both Android and iOS.
The application will give Harley-Davidson owners a common platform to create, share and plan their rides, while being connected with their H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapters. Also via the new H-D India application they can follow various events, get access to road side assistance and receive up to date information on new products from the company. One of the interesting features of the application is that it enables riders to scout for fellow riders in various locations of the country, which would be beneficial while touring.
Anoop Prakash, Managing Director Harley-Davidson India commented, “The number of Harley-Davidson owners in India is growing faster than ever. The bond and camaraderie shared between our riders continues to be an essential part of the Harley-Davidson ownership experience. The H-D India smart phone application was developed to enhance the customer experience and take it a step further.”
A custom social network has been built in the application via which Harley owners can view and follow each other’s updates. Other useful features of the application include the option to set reminders for service updates, P.U.C. certificate and insurance updates. The application also has the facility of finding -D dealers, petrol pumps, and cafes. The debut of the H-D India smart phone application as the World Ride 2014 is scheduled next week and Harley owners now have a handy platform to share their photos and tale of this event.
