Harley-Davidson recently launched the Street Rod, which is based on the Street 750, in India. The new motorcycle is the second bike from Harley to be built and sold in India. Harley-Davidson continues to dominate the premium bike segment and holds over 60% market share in the segment where the engine capacity is more than 600cc. Technology updates like ABS in all 2017-MY motorcycles and the introduction of new Milwaukee-Eight engines for their Touring range have helped in the company’s consistent performance in the market.
Harley-Davidson’s well-rooted establishment is strengthened by the presence of 26 dealerships in various cities across India. Their mobile showroom, ‘Legend on Tour’ offers a unique experience to prospective customers and enthusiasts. Rookie riders can sharpen their riding skills by enrolling in the ‘Passport to Freedom’ programme, which is headed by a team of experienced motorcyclists. Their brand presence is also reinforced further by the recent launch of ‘Ladies of Harley’ riding group in India, which complements the already existing Harley Owners Group (HOG).
