The world's most popular leisure motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson, has just unveiled its new entry-level product, the Street Rod 750. The company has also listed this new model in its Indian product portfolio, mentioning "coming soon" in its price section. The website says that the new model will be launched soon in India and we believe that it could be the second most affordable H-D after being launched.

The new Harley-Davidson Street Rod 750 is based on the company's most affordable cruiser, the Street 750. While the basic lines are based on its sibling, the new bike takes design inspiration from the company's iconic XR series of dirt-trackers. Along with the engine and chassis, fuel tank and side panels also remain unchanged. On the other hand, the rear section is all-new along with the front fascia, and the bike also gets interesting bar-end mirrors.

Street Rod gets flat handlebar

The Street Rod also gets a flat handlebar along with a redesigned seat for a sportier riding posture and the dimensions have also been tweaked for the same. The new model has a shorter wheelbase and reduced rake to offer agiler handling. For the ability to rumble over any terrain, the Street Rod comes with a much-increased ground clearance of 205mm, thus increasing the seat height to 765mm.

As we mentioned above, the new H-D Street Rod shares the same 750cc, liquid-cooled, "Revolution X" V-Twin. Though the bore and stroke of the engine are same, increased compression ratio and larger fuel injection port offer 18 per cent more power from the motor. Torque output of the mill has also been increased from 59Nm to 62Nm and it comes at 4,000rpm.

There are many upgrades in the cycle parts when compared to the base model. The Street Rod runs on 17" front and 15" rear alloy wheels and the tyres are also slightly wider as compared to the Street 750. The bike features coil-over rear shock absorbers with external reservoir for improved ride quality. The front also gets inverted telescopic forks which also contribute to the sportier appearance to the motorcycle. The bike has dual 300mm discs up front while the rear continues with the same setup and ABS could be offered on the options list.

The Street 750 is being manufactured in India at the company's plant in Bawal, Haryana, so it's sure that the new bike will also be rolled out from the same facility. Looking at the price of the Street 750, the Street Rod can be expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 6 lakh in the country.
