So, as with every September in the calendar, Apple’s back with the latest iPhone, this time the iPhone 13, which means only one thing: exorbitantly priced pocket gadget! Apple promises that the iPhone 13 is faster and more intuitive thanks to the new A15 Bionic chip, has better battery life, crisper video playback and most importantly, a much much better camera. Thankfully, Apple has this time decided to throw in a USB-C to lightning cable with the phone--but the power adapter will be sold separately, for extra money of course.
So if you value your hard-earned money and feel it could be better spent elsewhere, this is the right place to be. We’ve listed 12 of the best two-wheeler options that you could buy for the price of each iPhone variant, in this case, the top-spec models.
iPhone 13 Mini 512GB: Rs 99,900 |
Honda SP 125 Disc - Rs 83,143 |
TVS NTorq 125 Race XP - Rs 89,737 |
|
Ola S1 STD - 94,999 |
The price of the iPhone 13 Mini could get you a Honda SP 125, one of the most feature-packed bikes in its segment. It’s refined and frugal, packs a punch, and offers a good list of features, making it a well-rounded product.
You could also look at the new TVS NTorq 125 Race XP as an option in this price bracket. It’s more powerful than ever and even gets rider modes, a first in its segment. You get sportier graphics, extra features and, most importantly, class-leading performance.
Alternatively, you could go green with the all-new Ola S1. It's minimalistic, quick (top speed: 90kmph) and practical too, with a claimed range of 121km using a 2.98kWh battery setup.
iPhone 13 512GB: Rs 1,09,900 |
Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 - Rs 98,234 |
TVS Apache RTR 160 Rear Disc - 1,09,365 |
|
Simple One - 1,09,999 |
Stretch your budget a little more and you could get yourself the iPhone 13 with its larger display. Or spend around the same amount of money, lesser in fact, and opt for the Bajaj Pulsar NS 125 instead. It’s essentially the same NS DNA, but in a downsized package. So it’s perfect for beginner riders.
If that doesn’t cut it for you, you could check out the Apache RTR 160, which offers better performance, more safety and slightly better features.
Then again, electrics are the future. And the Simple One could be a great choice. Its performance is on par with the Ather 450X, with a segment-leading claimed range of 236km.
iPhone 13 Pro 512GB: Rs 1,49,900 |
Apache RTR 200 4V Dual Channel ABS - Rs 1,38,115 |
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 - Rs 1,40,544 |
|
Yamaha MT-15 - Rs 1,45,900 |
Some of you may have all the money in the world to go for the iPhone 13 Pro which gets better battery life and an even better camera for those super sharp images. However, if you’re more budget-conscious, here’s what you could buy. First up is the RTR 200 4V which offers segment-first features like a preload-adjustable front suspension, ride modes and adjustable brake and clutch levers. Not to mention a chassis that’s razor-sharp.
You also have the NS200, a tried and tested performance motorcycle that’s won hearts all over India and abroad. It’s powerful, sharp and still looks like a million dollars.
Then there’s the MT-15, which is basically an R15 sans the fairing. Sure it’s geared differently but it handles just as well and packs the same VVA-equipped 155cc engine that’s an absolute masterpiece.
iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB: Rs 1,79,900 |
KTM 125 Duke - Rs 1,70,515 |
Gixxer 250 - Rs 1,72,600 |
|
Jawa 42 Double Disc - Rs 1,78,357 |
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is meant for the elite, someone who thinks Rs 1.79 lakh is pocket change. But that’s obviously a lot of money for us enthusiasts, right?
The 125 Duke is the perfect option for bigger riders learning the ropes. It’s sophisticated, just like the iPhone 13 Pro Max, has a liquid-cooled engine with a decent amount of power, and mechanicals that would help strengthen your basics. What more could you ask for?
If you seek more performance, the Gixxer 250 is the way to go. It may not be as polished as the KTMs, but it sure as hell is a fun bike. You have more than enough power for city and highway commutes and a chassis and tyres that ooze confidence.
Last but not the least, is the new Jawa 42. It's the funkiest, and one of the more affordable options in the Jawa range. It's meant for a younger audience, one who never really heard about the brand until a couple of years ago.
