Hero Maestro to be discontinued soon

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, registered its highest-ever dispatch sales for the month of October. The company sold a record 5,29,215 units in October 2012 compared to 5,12,238 units in October 2011. Astonishingly, over 3.5 lakh units were sold in just the first 15 days of the festive period, starting from October 16th.
Hero, which is currently in the No. 2 position in the scooter segment, also registered its highest ever sales for scooters in a single month. The sales figures crossed the 50,000 mark for the first time in the company’s history. Encouraged by the strong sales of its scooters Maestro and Pleasure, the two-wheeler giant has increased its scooter production to over 60,000 units a month. Also read: Hero Maestro: Road Test
Anil Dua, Sr. Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp, said, “Our October story is about touching new milestones - highest-ever October sales, over half-a-lakh of scooter sales and retail of over 3.50 lakh units of two-wheelers in just 15 days of the festival period. With Diwali around the corner, we are prepared for even better retail sales in the month of November. We hope that the improved market sentiment will sustain itself as we go forward into the rest of this fiscal."
