Honda Launches Amaze Privilege Edition

Honda has tasted quite some success with it compact sedan Amaze ever since its launch in the 2013. It was the first of Honda offerings to be introduced with a diesel engine. Thanks to Honda’s reliability, strong service network and of course an impressive product, the Amaze was quick to make an impact on the sales charts. The Japanese car maker has now given its popular compact sedan an update with new interior and additional features. Here’s a list of the variants and the features it comes with.
Variant: E
Price: Petrol - Rs 5,29,900; Diesel Rs 6,41,900
Honda has smartly given a lot of equipment as standard even in the base ‘E’ variant. From body coloured bumpers to central locking and front/rear power windows. It also comes equipped with tilt steering and day night inside rear view mirror. While the facelifted Amaze is fairly well equipped even in the base variant, Honda has only given ABS with EBD standard in the diesel trim. Moreover, the lower variants don’t come fitted with airbags either, not even as an optional fitment.
Variant: S
Price: Petrol - Rs 5,95,400; Diesel Rs 7,29,900
Next in line is the ‘S’ trim. Over and above the features available on the base variant, this variant also gets keyless entry, driver side height adjustable seat and power assisted ORVMs. More importantly, this variant comes with a factory fitted infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and front/rear speakers. The centre console on this trim level is finished in piano black. Surprisingly, even in this ‘S’ variant, Honda hasn’t offered airbags, not even as optional fitment and ABS with EBD continues to be fitted just in the diesel model. The S trim of the Honda Amaze facelift that comes with a CVT ‘box also gets ABS with EBD and is priced at Rs 7,19,900.
Variant: SX
Price: Petrol - Rs 6,80,500; Diesel Rs 7,82,000
The SX variant gets ABS with EBD as well as airbags as standard equipment. Other additional features include range, power folding mirrors and instant fuel consumption display. Rear defogger and seat belt pretensioner are also seen on the SX variant.
Variant: VX / VX CVT
Price: Petrol - Rs 7,19,900; Diesel Rs 8,19,900 CVT – Rs 8,19,900
The top-end trim is the only variant to come with alloy wheels, front fog lamps and heat absorbing front windscreen. These variants will include all the features that are seen on the lower variants too.
