The Honda U-be costs approximately Rs 35,000
Along with the launch of the U-GO, Wuyang Honda has also brought in the U-be electric scooter. This petite EV is available in three variants and here’s what they offer:
Similar to its sibling, the U-be too gets a neat and minimalistic design, however, it’s a single-seater. It features LED illumination all around with integrated turn indicators.

Honda offers three battery options for the U-be: 0.72kWh, 0.96kWh, and 1.15kWh with claimed ranges of 55km, 70km, and 85km. The top speed of all three models is limited to 25kmph.
Apart from LED lights, the U-be electric scooter features LCD instrumentation, a USB charging port, and a smart-lock system, however, the last two are only available on the higher range models. While Honda hasn’t revealed the underseat storage capacity, there’ll be barely any space to keep your belongings considering the battery pack takes up most of it.
It’s sprung on a conventional telescopic fork and twin rear springs. Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of a front disc and a rear drum brake setup.
In China, it retails from CNY 3,099 (approximately Rs 35,000) onwards. At this price and with the offered range, the Honda U-be would make for a decent city runabout (if you can make do with the single-seat and no underseat storage). However, Honda is unlikely to bring it here considering it has some other plans for India.
