...by letting you book service appointments online. It's not rocket science, but hey, it's convenient.
Honda Service

Honda Cars has just added a 'Service' section to its India website — www.HondaCarIndia.com. The new feature allows Honda car owners to book a service appointment, get a service cost estimate and check prices for extended warranty, maintenance packages and roadside assistance. Tapping into the world of web will help the carmaker connect better with its tech-savvy customers.

However, Honda could have utilised this new feature to its full potential as the website doesn't allow buyers to purchase the extended warranty or roadside assistance online. For that, you'll still have to get in touch with your local dealer. The warranty and roadside assistance sections allow owners to provide their details so the selected dealer can contact them to close the sale. The maintenance package and value added services don't even offer an option to contact the dealer.

Previously, the Japanese manufacturer had launched the ‘Honda Connect’ feature to keep customers' cars connected to its servers for added benefits. The app allows car owners to track the car, receive an instant call from Honda in case of a mishap, get speeding alerts, check engine health, etc.

We have been extensively digitising our customer service operation, and with the launch of new service website, we will establish a direct connect with our customers. Enhanced transparency and customer convenience will help us in increasing customer satisfaction. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their support to Honda brand and reaffirm our commitment to the Indian market."
