Hyundai is all set to increase the prices of its vehicles by as much as Rs 20,000 with effect from 1st October

Hyundai has announced a price hike on its cars to be in effect from October 1st. The price will be increased by 4,000 to Rs 20,000 across the model range except the Grand i10 hatchback since it was recently launched.

“The rupee depreciation and inflationary trends have impacted our input costs. We have been absorbing most of the costs but now we are compelled to consider the price increase,” said Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP – Sales and Marketing, Hyundai motor India limited. Luxury car makes like Audi, BMW, Mercedes and other manufactures including Ford and Toyota have already increased prices by as much as 5 per cent. 

Currently Hyundai's offerings in the Indian market includes the Eon, Santro, i10, Grand i10, i20, Verna, Elantra, Sonata and the Santa Fe. The Korean manufacturer has also decided to drive in a new compact sedan and mini SUV in the next two years sighting the huge demand for both segments.
