With added convenience, EV-specific features, and a new theme with ambient lighting, Creta Electric’s interior stands out from its ICE-powered sibling.

The popular Hyundai Creta has just got its EV iteration revealed as the Creta Electric. Both versions share a lot of similarities in terms of overall design however the Creta Electric has subtle tweaks that make it distinctive to its own identity. While we’ve previously compared the exterior design of the Creta, in this report we’ll see the key differences and similarities in the interior of the two. Let’s begin:

Hyundai Creta Electric vs Creta: Interior

The interiors of both the Creta Electric and the Creta ICE are quite similar. The most noticeable difference that meets the eye is in the cabin themes: the Creta Electric features a white and black finish, while the Creta ICE comes with a white and grey theme.

The dashboard layout is largely identical, but the Creta Electric gets a new three-spoke steering wheel with a horizontal chrome slat – a little like the four dot design in the Ioniq 5 instead of the usual Hyundai logo found in the ICE-powered version which retains its previous generation's four-spoke steering wheel.

The centre console designs also differ. The regular Creta includes an aeroplane-style gear lever, two cupholders, an electronic parking brake, buttons for seat ventilation, and a rotary dial for controlling drive and terrain modes. In contrast, the Creta Electric has a simpler layout with a drive mode dial, two cupholders, and seat ventilation buttons, while its drive selector is positioned behind the steering wheel, like its flagship sibling, the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

Both models feature dual-integrated displays and a touch-enabled control panel for the AC and vents. However, the ambient lighting sets them apart: the Creta Electric offers a purple theme, while the Creta ICE uses an amber tone.
