The SX Executive now replaces the SX MT variants, however, with a downsized feature-list
-
The second-to-top SX trim had both MT and AT options.
-
The AT gearbox remains on sale, while the optional 6-speed MT has been axed.
-
The new SX Executive gets only an MT and is lighter on the pocket by Rs 78,000.
-
The SX MT petrol and diesel were priced at Rs 13.97 lakh and 14.97 lakh, respectively.
According to dealer sources, Hyundai has discontinued the Creta’s MT-equipped petrol and diesel variants of the second-from-the-top SX trim. The carmaker earlier introduced a new mid-spec SX Executive trim, which comes with a manual gearbox only and is positioned below the SX. However, the discontinuation is yet to reflect on Hyundai’s official website.

We reckon Hyundai discontinued the said variants due to having introduced the new SX Executive, which is available with a 6-speed MT only and the same engine options as the SX. It is Rs 78,800 more affordable than the now-discontinued SX variants. However, the SX Executive misses out on an infotainment system, but gets other features like a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, auto air conditioning, and cruise control.
The SX trim now has the following powertrain options:

The Hyundai Creta retails between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Tata Harrier, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, Skoda Kushaq and the upcoming VW Taigun.
