The new variant will sit between the S and SX variants.
It will lose out on the 10.25-inch infotainment system, connected car tech, and voice recognition.
The variant will only be available with the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines and the standard manual gearbox.
A leaked document reveals Hyundai will offer its top-selling SUV, the Creta, in another variant based on the second-to-top SX trim.
The new SX Executive variant will sit just below the SX and will be more affordable than it by Rs 78,800 as per the document. It will, however, see a few feature omissions. The most distinct change is it does not come with the 10.25-inch infotainment system, instead getting a cover for the slot.

A few other features have also been dropped from the list, including functions of the touchscreen like connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as chrome door handle, burglar alarm, Arkamys sound tune, voice recognition, and a rearview monitor. That said, the SX Executive variant gets a Bluetooth mic, steering-mounted audio controls, shark-fin antenna, rear parking camera, and a USB port. Since it is based on the SX variant, the SX Executive could also get features such as a panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, and auto AC.
With the addition of SX Executive, the Creta will be available in six broad variants: E, EX, S, SX Executive, SX, and SX (O). The new variant will be available with just the 115PS 1.5-litre petrol and diesel units. It will get the standard 6-speed manual transmission but not the CVT or 6-speed automatic gearboxes. It will also miss out on the 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol powertrain and the optional 7-speed DCT transmission.
The overall price of the Creta remains unchanged. It recently received a hike and is now priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 17.70 lakh.
