Hyundai India domestic sales grow 12.9 per cent in July

Hyundai India registered overall sales growth of 10.7 per cent in the month of July 2016, as opposed to the same period in 2015
One of the leading car makers of India and the largest passenger car exporter, Hyundai Motor India has sold 41,201 cars in India and exported 14,606, bringing the total to 55,807 cars sold in the month of July 2016. To understand the significance of these numbers, in July 2015, Hyundai sold 36,503 cars in the Indian market and exported 13,908 cars, totalling to 50,411 cars sold in the month. This marks a growth of 10.7 per cent in terms of sales for Hyundai. In terms of domestic sales, there is marked growth of 12.9 per cent.
Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at Hyundai attributed the sales growth to the popularity of Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta. He also attributed the success to improved customer sentiments which have been led by monsoons, low inflation, reduced interest rates and reduction in fuel prices.
Hyundai Motor India is a fully-owned subsidiary of Korea's Hyundai Motor Company. It has ten models for sale in its Indian line-up - Eon, i10, Grand i10, Xcent, Elite i20, i20 Active, Verna, Creta, Elantra and Santa Fe. The company produces these cars at its Chennai manufacturing unit. The company also exports its cars to global markets from India, totalling 92 across Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific. Hyundai India has been India's number one exporter for the last 10 consecutive years. Hyundai has 451 dealers and 1,170 service centres across India.
