Hyundai has announced that it has sold over 12 lakh units of the i10 worldwide and to celebrate the milestone the Korean car maker has launched a special edition of the popular hatchback in India.
Badged as the iTECH i10, this special edition Hyundai i10 features red and beige seat covers, red plastic insets on the dashboard, iTECH body decals, steering mounted Bluetooth audio controls and a rear parking camera.
The Hyundai iTECH i10 special edition is available in a choice of Crystal White or Garnet Red on the Era 1.1 and Magna 1.2 variants of the hatchback.
The iTECH i10 special edition variants have been priced as follows,
Car | Variant | Colour | Price (ex-showroom Delhi) |
Hyundai i10 | Era 1.1 | Crystal White (Solid) | Rs 4,24,193 |
Hyundai i10 | Era 1.1 | Garnet Red (Metallic) | Rs 4,27,776 |
Hyundai i10 | Magna 1.2 | Crystal White (Solid) | Rs 4,57,265 |
Hyundai i10 | Magna 1.2 | Garnet Red (Metallic) | Rs 4,60,879 |
This means that the 1.1 liter Hyundai i10 Era iTECH special edition is priced at a premium of Rs 15,597 over the standard versions of the i10 Era 1.1 while the Magna 1.2 litre iTECH has been priced at a premium of Rs 15,585 over the standard 1.2 Hyundai i10 Magna.
While the steering mounted Bluetooth audio controls and the reversing camera are useful features, the Rs 15,500+ premium for the special edition i10 variants over the standard models of the i10 seem to be a little steep.
The Hyundai iTECH i10 Era is powered by a 1.1 litre petrol engine developing 69PS of power and 101Nm of torque while the iTECH i10 Magna 1.2 is powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine that develops 80PS of power and 114Nm of torque.
