South Korean carmaker, Hyundai, has revealed a facelifted version of its Grandeur luxury sedan model back at its home country during the 2014 Busan International Motor Show. Also known as the Hyundai Azera in other markets, the Hyundai Grandeur gets an upgraded powertrain along with aesthetic enhancements.

Speaking about the addition of the two new sedans in the South Korean market, Choong Ho Kim, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor, says, “We place customer satisfaction before anything else, and the improved Grandeur and ‘AG’ are at the center of these efforts, fully reflecting our customers’ voices.”

The new car gets a front-wheel-drive system and also features variable geometry turbocharger.

The facelifted car also gets advanced safety features such as Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Front Collision Warning System (FCWS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and an Advanced Smart Parking Assist System (ASPAS).

Hyundai has only revealed the exterior of its flagship sedan ‘AG’. This new car follows Hyundai’s fluidic design. Hyundai AG gets a distinctive long hood, large fog lamps with LED day-time running lights and a hexagonal-shaped chrome grille. A single black chrome strip runs across the air-intakes which are complimented well with LED fog lamps on both the sides. The engine size and other specifics are expected to be unveiled in the coming months.
