  • The Hyundai Venue Flux edition gets a new grille and green exterior accents.

  • Even the gear knob, air vents and climate control knobs get green accents.

  • It also gets green stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

  • The Venue Flux edition could inspire a special edition here in the future.

Hyundai has made the Venue sub-4 metre SUV more trendy with the introduction of the Flux edition in South Korea. The Venue Flux gets funky cosmetics and a special dual-tone grey and green color combination.

The main change on the outside is the presence of a new hot-stamped grille that features an interesting  diamond-shaped chrome pattern. It gets acid green inserts on the front bumper, roof, ORVM, rear bumper and side panels. It also gets a V-shaped badge on the C-pillar with green accents.

The gray-green combo continues inside the cabin with contrast stitching on seats and green accents on the gear knob, drive mode selector, air vents and climate control knobs. The leather-wrapped steering wheel gets green stitching. Aside from this, you get synthetic leather upholstery on the door armrests.

Since the Flux edition is only an aesthetic upgrade, it remains mechanically unchanged under the hood. It is powered by a 1.6-litre Smartstream petrol engine that delivers 123PS of power and 154Nm of torque, paired to an IVT (CVT) gearbox in South Korea. The India-spec Venue gets three engine options: a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre CRDI diesel, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol.

The Hyundai Venue Flux edition costs 21.5 million KRW (Rs 13.44 lakh) in South Korea, which is a premium of around Rs 1.93 lakh over the top-spec SX Plus Turbo DCT variant of the India-spec Venue. While there is no word on whether this special edition Venue will make it to India, expect Hyundai to roll a special edition version of the India-spec SUV somewhere down the line.
