Until this update rolled out, the Hyundai Verna was priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 17.42 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and powertrain. As shown in the table above, the revised prices now carry a marginal premium of up to Rs 6,000 over previous rates. Notably, the base-spec EX variant remains unchanged in price.
The Hyundai Verna was previously offered in 7 monotone and 2 dual-tone colour options. Add the new Amazon Grey hue to that making up 8 monotone colour schemes now.
The fascia remains untouched with LED projector headlights and LED positioning lamps with DRLs. The notable change is at the back – the rear spoiler which makes the sedan look sportier than before.
As for features, the Hyundai Verna boasts a dual integrated screen setup, featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system alongside a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Additional amenities include a single-pane sunroof, ventilated and heated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting, air purifier and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.
On the safety front, the Verna has achieved a five-star crash safety rating from Global NCAP and is equipped with key safety features such as six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX and level 2 ADAS.
The Hyundai Verna offers two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with outputs of 115 PS and 144 Nm. The turbo-petrol engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, while the naturally aspirated engine is available with a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
All that said, the Hyundai Verna rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
