Hyundai Verna’s mid-spec S+ and SX now come with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other features include a digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, six airbags, cruise control, and auto air conditioning.
The sedan is priced from Rs 9.19 lakh to Rs 15.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Verna rivals the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, and Toyota Yaris.
Hyundai has introduced first-in-segment wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features in the Verna’s mid-spec S+ and SX variants. However, the top-spec SX(O) and SX(O) Turbo miss out on these updates.
Other features on the sedan include an 8-inch infotainment system (for the mid-spec variants) and HD display (for the top-spec variants), Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, Blue Link connected car tech (exclusive to the top-spec variants), a sunroof, front ventilated seats, wireless phone charging, digital driver display, cruise control, paddle shifters (exclusive to the top-spec Turbo), and keyless entry with push-button start.

Passenger safety is secured by up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and a rear parking camera with parking sensors.
Hyundai has provided the Verna with three powertrain options: a 120PS/172Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, a 115PS/144Nm 1.5-litre petrol, and a 115PS/250Nm 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual (standard for both the petrol and diesel units), an optional 6-speed automatic (for the diesel engine), and an optional CVT (for the petrol engine). The turbo-petrol unit only gets a 7-speed DCT.
The Hyundai Verna got a price hike of up to Rs 14,000 last month and currently retails from Rs 9.19 lakh to Rs 15.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It takes on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, and Toyota Yaris.
