Get Ready For Goa, India Bike Week Is Back

While it was a no-show in 2018, India Bike Week is back for 2019. The event promises to be bigger than ever before with nearly 20,000 bikers anticipated for this event. There is a slight shift in dates from previous editions as the 2019 event will take place on 6-7 December at Vagator, Goa. Here's our experience of the 2017 edition where we rode down to Goa on a Triumph Tiger 800.

Apart from the usual festivities, the 2019 India Bike Week is set to host a hill climb event. The introduction of this competitive sport should help IBW attract bikers other than just the rev-happy sportbike owner. Also to draw larger crowds, the tickets are more affordable. A single-day pass costs Rs 1,200 while entry for both days costs Rs 2,200. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, 6 September, on India Bike Week’s official website.

Gear up for Asia’s largest Motorbike Festival - the year’s greatest gathering of Bikes and Bikers – the 6th India Bike Week. Festival specialist, 70 EMG’s IBW on 6th and 7th December, Vagator, Goa will be the ride of a lifetime – and the biggest Biker Paradise ever seen in India.

Mumbai, 2019: For 6 years now, thousands and thousands of passionate bikers from across India and the world have ridden IBW’s The Great Migration - the iconic ride to India Bike Week in Goa to celebrate the world of biking at Asia’s biggest biker festival. The Great Migration to IBW has become an annual tradition; a rite of passage, an escape into adventure, moto-culture, riding, music, and biker brotherhood.

IBW launched in 2013 with 5,324 bikers and 2,684 bikes. By 2017, India Bike Week had grown to a staggering 15,484 bikers and 8,536 bikes. The 2019 edition on the last weekend of December will see over 20,000 bikers converging at Vagator for the gathering of a lifetime. The 6th India Bike Week 2019 promises to be the biggest yet - better, wilder, sexier.
