Indian Motorcycle thought its customers wanted a new, all-black and underpowered Scout Bobber. And guess what? The American brand has done just that by unveiling the Scout Bobber Sixty. We know you are a bit confused about the motorcycle. So here’s something nice and easy for you to understand -- it’s essentially a Scout Bobber with the same 999cc motor as seen in the Scout Sixty.

The 999cc motor in the new Scout Bobber Sixty makes 78PS of power and 88Nm of torque, which is 22PS and 9.7Nm less than the standard Scout Bobber. Additionally, it gets the same 5-speed gearbox as seen in the Sixty. The fact that it is powered by a smaller engine makes its 10kg lighter than Bobber.
Apart from these mechanical changes, the rest of the motorcycle is the same as the 2020 Scout Bobber. So you get the same 41mm telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Apart from ABS, the Scout Bobber Sixty doesn’t get any bells and whistles.
There’s no word from the American manufacturer about its India launch, but according to our sources, the brand could launch it in four to five months. As far as its price is concerned, we expect the new Scout Bobber Sixty to retail at around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
