The Compass Night Eagle Edition is priced at a premium of Rs 45,000 over the Longitude Plus variant. Let’s see what you get for that extra premium.
It packs in plenty of black elements that makes it look stealthy. All the chrome elements, including the Jeep logo and chrome grille surrounds, are now finished in black. It also utilises larger 18-inch alloy wheels, which are also finished in… well, you guessed it… black. You can have a closer look at this stealthy Compass in our detailed image gallery.
Quite similar to the Harrier right? Unlike the Harrier Dark Edition, which is offered in black only, the Compass Night Eagle Edition can be had in four body colours: Vocal White, Exotica Red, Magnesio Grey, and Brilliant Black. The last one looks similar to the Harrier Dark Edition.
The black theme continues on the inside, with the dashboard, upholstery and even the doorpads finished in erm… black. The blacked-out seats feature what Jeep calls Techno Leather upholstery which seems like a mix of leatherette and fabric. That said, the feature list is similar to the standard Longitude Plus variant. Highlights include a 7-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, cruise control (in AT variants), steering mounted audio controls, electric folding ORVMs and keyless entry with push button start. On the safety front, it comes with four airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rear view camera.
The Compass Night Eagle edition utilises the standard model’s 163PS 1.4-litre petrol engine and 170PS 2.0-litre diesel engine options. The petrol unit is offered with a 7-speed DCT while the diesel engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic that’s exclusively offered with a 4x4 drivetrain.
The Compass Night Eagle edition is limited to just 250 units. So if you have set your eyes on it, we suggest you head to your nearest Jeep showroom before stocks run out.
