JK Tyre took another step towards giving budding racing drivers the right kind of platform to showcase their skill behind the wheel. Pioneers of several grassroots development programmes in motorsports, JK Tyre announced the launch of IndiKarting National Series. The first round of the IndiKarting National Series will commence in Pune on 23rd and 24th April. The Pune round will be followed by Goa, Vadodara, Lidhiana and Delhi.
To ensure that all participants in the JK Tyre IndiKarting Series are on a level playing field they will be racing single-make four-stroke karts. This will help in making sure that the championship remains affordable.
Talking about this initiative, Sanjay Sharma, Head- Corporate Communication & Motorsports, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd said, “We are proud to present our latest initiative, the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series; and believe that this championship will prove to be a milestone in the development programme of our budding drivers helping them to graduate to the next level. JK Tyre has always believed in promoting motorsport and making it more accessible and affordable to talent irrespective of affordability in a sport which has traditionally been highly inaccessible.”
Winners of the JK Tyre IndiKarting National Series will get a sponsored drive in the K Tyre National Rotax Max Karting Championship. The top performer in the senior category will get a chance to race in the JK Tyre National Racing Championship as well.
