Planning to buy a Kawasaki bike? Better write the cheque right away. The company has confirmed that select motorcycles will see a price hike of 7 per cent on their ex-showroom Delhi prices. This is due to the increase in raw material cost and fluctuations in foreign exchange rates.
While we’re yet to confirm which models, in particular, will be affected by this, we suspect the newly launched Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and the Versys 1000 might also see a price hike - especially because both the motorcycle were launched at introductory prices. If true, the Ninja ZX-6R and the Versys 1000 might receive new price tags of Rs 11.22 lakh and Rs 11.43 lakh (both, ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
The company is set to reveal the updated price list on 1 April 2019, on its official website. Here’s the bikemaker’s official press release for more details:

IKM strives hard to keep the price of its models very competitive in the India market. However, due to increasing costs of raw materials and fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, IKM is compelled to change the price of our models.
In the recent times IKM launched two models, namely Ninja ZX-6R and Versys 1000, at very competitive prices. The new prices will be disclosed on the website of IKM on April 1, 2019.
