The Kawasaki H2 Hybrid is a drag motorcycle based on the stock Ninja H2 made exclusively for drag racing legend Ricky Gadson

We all know given the specs, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 will be a bonkers fast machine in a straight line. But when you’re talking about drag racing, bonkers fast is well, not fast enough. Because in drag racing only one thing matters acceleration and for that purpose you need to make sure that every pony that the powerplant develops is laid on the tarmac in an effective manner. For this purpose, Kawasaki joined hands with Adams Performance workshop and spent 30 days in transforming the Ninja H2 into a tarmac scorching behemoth. To make the bike more stable on the drag strip, the standard swingarm has been replaced with a custom Adams’ Strong Arm, this has extended the wheelbase to 1,714mm.

Other modifications on the Kawasaki Ninja H2 Hybrid include a new rear monoshock sourced from Brock’s Performance and BST carbon fibre wheels replacing the stock wheels. Kawasaki claims these modifications have helped it shed 5.4kg with respect to the stock Kawasaki Ninja H2. Also the bike features winglets as seen on the Kawasaki H2R hyperbike for added down force and stability. Renowned drag racer, Ricky Gadson, who was in India during the 2014 Amby Valley Run drag race earlier this year managed to clock a quarter-mile timing of 8.213 seconds. Gadson claims he could easily improve the above timing as the drag run was done during a cold day and during summer he will be much quicker. We can’t wait for him to do so and hopefully see him in action next year in India with the Kawasaki Ninja H2 Hybrid.
