Kawasaki’s mighty Ninja H2 gets a shiny black paint scheme for next year, but the mechanicals remain unchanged, because who has ever wanted more power from the H2?

“Mirror Coated Spark Black,” that’s what Kawasaki is calling the new paint scheme for the 2016 Ninja H2. While the previous H2 had a polished and exposed carbon-fiber finish with lashings of trademark Kawasaki Green on the trellis frame and fairing, the new colour option is all-black. It is still shiny – hence the ‘Spark’ in the name – and there are flecks of bright particles that glimmer like gazillions stars on an inky black background. The accompanying video shows this to full effect, and we reckon owners can get this full experience when the bike is parked in direct sunlight.

The rest of the mechanicals on the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja H2 remain unchanged, which is just as well in our book, for how can you possibly ask for more power or torque from a supercharged hyperbike?

Expect the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja H2 to be displayed in its full glory at the 2016 Tokyo Motor Show this week. No word on whether we will be getting the track-only limited-edition H2R for 2016, though. That 300 PS monster, in this new stealth-black trim, should only serve to make the H2R’s dish even more delectable.
