Everyone’s been eagerly waiting for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R. The quarter-litre sportbike is all set to be launched in Indonesia on July 10, 2020, which is just a couple of days away. The launch will be held online. Good news is, we won’t have to wait until then for the price of the ZX-25R, as it’s already been leaked online. According to reports, the sportbike will be available in two variants: non-ABS and ABS. The former is expected to be priced at Rp 988,000,000 which translates to about Rs 5.08 lakh. The ABS variant, on the other hand, may retail at Rp 114,000,000 which is approximately Rs 5.87 lakh.

That’s quite steep for a 250cc bike. But then again, it packs a decent amount of kit for the asking price. The ZX-25R will be manufactured in Indonesia and shipped to other Southeast Asian countries. Don’t expect the bike to make it to Indian shores as the cost won’t be well received in a price-sensitive market like India.

The ZX-25R’s talking point is its 249cc inline four-cylinder motor which reportedly puts out 42PS of peak power and 20.8Nm of torque. While that’s quite lousy compared to the previously anticipated power figures of 50-55PS, it’s good enough to take on the current crop of 300-400cc motorcycles.
